The 2015 Connecticut Tour de Cure was held on June 14, 2015 at the Durham Fairgrounds. The event raised over $175,000 for the American Diabetes Association, which funds research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes and delivers services and information to hundreds of communities. 316 riders made up the 42 teams that road the 6, 17, 31, 64 and 100 mile courses. USA Hauling & Recycling was a sponsor for the event.
There will also be an upcoming walk on October 3, 2015 to benefit the American Diabetes Association. For more information on the walk or to register or donate, visit the 2015 Step Out: Connecticut page.
USA Hauling & Recycling participated in the first annual Vehicle Day at Mile Tree School in Wilbraham, MA on June 11, 2015 along with over 20 other vehicles including “cars, trucks, tractors, fire engines, police cruisers and construction vehicles.”
“…all of these types of vehicles and more were parked right outside the Mile Tree School in Wilbraham on Thursday morning, a mechanical buffet for the eager young students.
The Manchester Road Race is making $100,180 in donations to 19 charitable and non-profit organizations from the proceeds of last year’s Thanksgiving Day run. The annual event raises money for many organizations every year. “The biggest bequest—a check for $20,000—will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Fund. Race
organizers have been raising money to fight the crippling disease since the early 1950s.” USA Hauling & Recycling and All American Waste are major sponsors of the event.
“We are so pleased that the Manchester Road race can assist the vital work being done by all of these organizations,” said Dr. Tris Carta, President of the Manchester Road Race Committee. “Thanks to the generosity of our runners, sponsors, volunteers and supporters, our one-day event benefits the community 365 days a year.”
